Humans of HKIS: Kelly Hae
“Focus on yourself. Don’t care about what other people think about you. That’s something that I’ve done since, I don’t know, ever since I could remember. I should really just learn to accept myself and if other people don’t like that, then, so what. Move on! It’s okay. I’ll find better people to surround myself with.
I had some conflicts regarding friendships—those people didn’t lift me up. That was bad because I didn’t have people around me that I could share my true feelings with. It was a time when I didn’t follow my own advice, and it led me down the wrong path, but that path helped me to discover myself and learn about what I should do next.” Kelly Hae, Class of 2020
